New Year's Resolutions are a great invention. Basically, all you have to do is make up a few New Year's Resolutions to stick to for the entire year. I decided to share mine with you guys because you are always so supportive and helpful and are almost like family.
I thought long and hard about my New Year's Resolutions this year. So here they are:
1. Drink at least 2L of water a day.
I was always a little bit unhealthy ever since I left my old school, where teachers promoted drinking water. This also involved people going to the bathroom a lot more often. Back then I used to drink at least 5L of water a day.
Ever since then, I wanted to become healthier again by drinking water. As our school despises people going to the toilet and sometimes we get detention for going to the toilet too many times, I don't get so many chances to do that. So I decided to stick to 2L because bottles of such size are easy to find and this amount won't have me running to the toilet every 30 minutes.
2. Lose 15kg of weight.
I've never been skinny but never fat either. 15kg seems like a lot, but I promise that I am not in a healthy range. I just want to look more attractive for my summer trip to an exotic country and I have a crush on someone (but later on that ;) )
3. Always substitute for healthier options.
As I told you earlier, I am a bit more unhealthy than I was. So I decided to add this one on to remind myself of th ehealthy lifestyle - swapping popcorn to celery or chocolate to apples. This won't nessesarily help with weightloss, but with my health. I also reccomend this to you - as it makes you feel more clean, healthy, alert and feeling better overall.
4. Save up at least £200 for my visit to the exotic country.
I think this is great to do because I will be staying there with my extended family for 5 weeks! And I don't want to rely on my extended family (who are not rich) to pay for my personal expenses. By the way, my parents are not going. So this is great goal, in my opinion.
5. Be kinder to all my bullies and haters.
I think this is very important because Christ teaches us to love and forgive everyone. And I cannot be mean or even ignorant towards them because it is against my nature. They are only doing all they do because they are jealous of me and if I have a better personality, they will be ven more jealous.
So HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you! I wish you all the best in the new year.

Hatred, Being a Crowd and Frenemies
Hatred is so intertwined in our society. Sometimes it feels like the whole world is against us.
I realised this when I remembered all the people that I studied with, and all of them were either jealous of me or hated me for absolutely no reason. Sometimes even middle-aged people don't like me because they feel the aura of intelligence.
I understood that I do not want to be left alone at the end of my path. I want to have friends all over the world that I can trust and come back to at difficult times. I only have 3 friends that I can call friends and they are all my bestest dearest friends.
I am not a loner and I can strike a conversation with many people. But sometimes they go behind my
back and say bad things about me like rumours. This causes people I don't know to hate me.
As you probably read in my last post, I was bullied all my life. This caused there to be so much hatred around me. When I don't hate anyone. I often feel like a misfit, a weirdo. This is because people stare at me with shocked eyes and call me weird.
One of those reasons is me liking and enjoying education. Why wouldn't anyone like learning new things in school of uni? It makes no sense. Particularly, the fact that my favourite subject of mathemactics is deeply confusing to people.
And I am not ashamed to know that I enjoy math. I am not Einstein but I enjoy the process and the outcome. It makes me feel powerful, knowin gthe solutions to so many problems, however small they may be.
So under the constant pressure of the society to be dummer and much more stupid, I decided not to follow the crowd and much rather be a misfit than an outcast later on when i need the skills I lost by becomming a part of the crowd.
I just don't want to follow the crowd because those people who are successful in being a part of a crowd are not very interesting individuals - they are just like verybody else. In addition, me being a teenager puts a lot more pressure on not standing out.
Here is what I want to say to the world:
"I don't want to be a part of a crowd! Why would I? So that in a job interview I look just like everybody else? So that nobody can remember me because I am such a part of the crowd, that no one remembers me? Why? SO STOP TRYING TO MAKE ME THE SAME AS EVERYBODY ELSE, WORLD, JUST STOP!"
And today I was jealous of the girl that my ex-crush is dating. I Facebook-stalked her to find out who she is. Well, the thing is, she is nothing special. Just another cheerleader with many friends and a hot boyfriend.
But you might say:
"Eva, you are just another nerd with a loner life and no friends."
And my response to you is to say that I am a nerd, but I am sometimes reluctant to read and much prefer to go online and read gossip on celebs or watch funny YouTube videos. I have many friends that I hang out with, but we are not tight. I have three beautiful, smart, kind and caring best friends.
Of course, I am not model-beautiful or Einstein-smart. But I am me and I stand out. People bully me because of it, but I could care less because I am happy.
Isn't it funny how I want to have many friends but am a misfit? Well, when I grow up and become successful (because karma and my inner nerd), the bullies, haters and idiots I leave behind will be losers in life while I will enjoy the company of a lot of intelligent and caring people who will come to be my friends.
You are thinking that I sound too sure of myself. But I know, simply because this has happened to so many people and the ones that stayed strong like me have succeded and left behind many losers that thought that they are better than them.
The bullies, haters, backstabbing frenemies and idiots are there simply to build up the strong character of the individual who is destined to the greater. Even in the Bible, the story says that only 1/3 will rule while the rest will serve the ones who are ruling. So if you, bullies, want to rule, you better start upgrading your trashy personality.
If all this hatred is happening to you and you are feeling sad because of it, remember:
1. You have a loving, caring family and that is better than any sea of friends.
2. You have a handful of trustworthy besties that have got your back, instead of hundreds of fake, lying and backstabbing frenemies.
3. You are unique and so is every celebrity. You stand out, just like every successful person. There is no successful person on this Earth that wasn't hated and bullied for being so different.
So swap these words:
Weird Awkward Misfit Annoying Odd Nerd Failure
To these:
Uneque Different Individual Exclusive Divergent Incomparable
Because nobody should force you to be different from you. You are you. I am me. Let's change the world!

How and Why to be Teacher’s Pet
You don't have to be a nerd to be a teacher's pet. |
1. You can do no wrong.
Teachers can make rules in the classroom and if you follow them all the time, like a teacher's pet would, you can break one once in a while and get away with it. Don't do it often though.
2. Your grades are better.
If you are a teacher's pet, the teacher might give you half a mark on your test on your answer instead of no marks. This might not seem like much, bit you can move your grade from C to B or B to A easily this way. This is because they like you so much that they see something right in your answer. It also works if after the test you change your answer and they will pretend like they didn't notice.
3. Your report is perfect.
Any flaws you have - they will not be mentioned in the report. The teacher is just going to praise you.
Now that you've realised how good it is to be teacher's pet, let me tell you how to become one:
1. Look nice.
Make sure you look clean and fresh. Wear comfortable clothes - not baggy and not too stylish. You want to appear like you are wearing clothes that you would wear on a comfy day. Dress by the weather too. Practie hygene - no one likes yellow-teethed messy students/pupils. You are trying to impress them - by being yourself. But you can act as someone better and make it look natural.
2. Act nice.
Seems obvious - be polite and nice, not only to the teacher, but to your classmates. Don't swear in
front of your teacher either - it is going to make them see you in a bad light.
3. Smile a lot.
Don't smile fakely, just have a cute smile on
your face most of the time. While the teacher is teaching you, smile lightly to show that you are enjoying yourself in the class.
4. Participate in class.
Participation is so important. Answer questions. My trick is to wait for a few people to answer the question wrong or partcially right and put your hand up. Then give the correct answer. This is so easy. If no one says stupid things in your class, give one of the stupid guys or girls the wrong information before class, it's evil but it works.
5. Give cards and presents.
You might not see a benefit in giving Christmas cards or little presents - but it works. The teacher sees that you like them as a person and want to share something with them. Plus, if someone does a
service for you for free, doesn't it make you feel like they are nicer than they are?
The presents don't have to big - you can buy a cheap charity card and bake a gingerbread cookie. Whatever is easy. It is the thought tha counts.
If you know the teacher's birthday, it is even better! Give them a card, don't pick the age though - it is too creepy, and a little keyring with their name on or something. It makes them so happy.
6. Don't expect the results to come quickly.
You can't do this in one week. It takes months of work, but if yu follow all these tips, then I guatantee you will succeed. Even if the teacher already has a teacher's pet. Take the spotlight! I believe in you!

Bullying
Bullying is a major concern of the modern society. So many people are obsessed with preventing it and creating content to help bullies, victims and everyone in between. This makes us think that bullying is bad and is stopped everyday. But what if I tell you that teachers and councellors don't care if you are bullied? That is what I am going to tell you about.
I was bullied for my entire life, for as long as I can remember. First - for my last name, then for being a lesbian(while being homophobic), then for the made up rumors about liking guys, being desperate and for being a nerd.
You would think that I should do something about it - my ongoing bullying experience is not helping me. But I told a lot of people - teachers, councellors, guidance teachers and pupil support. Basically, everyone who could solve the problem. None of them even tried.
When I ask my guidance teacher about why people tolerate bullying, he says that they are doing the right thing by tolerating it and not getting help. But why?
And my bullying is really affecting me. It is not like I am tolerating only rumors or light stuff. Let me tell you a story that is something like what happens to me at least weekly:
I am sitting in art class and sketching a drawing of a vase in front of me. A girl from a different class passes by and takes my pencilcase. I put my pencil down and go up to her.
"Excuse me, can I have my pencilcase back. Please?" I say to her in a sweet voice, smiling to not make her uncomfortable for the crime she committed.
"What? Who are you?" she replies in a rude voice, as if I am interrupting her life.
"I am Diana, from XYZ Art Class. You took my pale blue pencilcase a moment ago. Can I have it back?" I reply to her.
"Firstly, I don't know what you are talking about and I haven't seen your stupid pencilcase. I. Do. Not. Have. It. Get lost." She says, getting angry.
"I saw you take it. So did all of my friends. I don't want to have to go to the teacher. Please, there will be less trouble if you give it back now." I say, still staying calm.
"I don't have it. Please, go away and don't accuse me of what I haven't done. And go ahead and tell the teacher because anyway I don't have it." She replies and walks away.
I go to the guidance office, but as always my guidance teacher is not there. I tell another guidance teacher that is present there that a girl stole my pencilcase.
"Ignore her. Forgive. It is just another old pencilcase." the guidance teacher says, hearing my story.
"But how am I going to go to school without a pencilcase?" I ask, completely confused.
"Borrow from friends." He replies, as if it is obvious that if you lose something worth over £40 in value, you should let it go without trying.
I start tearing up because he is as rude as the bully and I lost something so expensive that I got only a month ago and my mom is going to tell me off. Now he takes action.
The girl does not confess that day. When the guidance teacher threatens her with a detention in DR3, she gives it back. Almost everything was broken in the pencilcase. I didn't want her to get into more trouble, so I looked over that fact.
Another thing that happens to me all the time, literally all the time, is people I don't know walking up to me in class and in hallways and saying 'You are soo weird.". Why? I don't know. But all I can reply is 'Okay.' and 'Thanks' or 'I know.'
The thing is, when people say, ignore bullies and they will stop, it doesn't really work. If I ignore them, they go even further. They think I haven't heard them so they shout it or say it in front of the teacher.
And teachers can solve this. So can guidance teachers. And pupil support. And councellors. But they don't care unless you are straight up crying. My guidance teacher encourages people who withstand bullying on a daily basis to not tell anyone and feel bad but not waste his time. What? Who does that?
All I am saying is, live life and sort the bullying stuff yourself. From my experience, bullies are people who are jealous and have nothing better to do. All you have to do is stand strong and feel sorry for them because they are not smart enough to do anything useful, so they try to prevent you from doing it.
And remember, you are smarter, prettier and better than them!
